We are pleased to announce that we are changing our online repeat prescription ordering system. If you have previously registered with Vision Online Services then you are unfortunately required to re-register on the new system.
To register either complete the registration process by clicking the link below, or alternatively please come into reception and complete a manual registration form. Please be aware that you will be required to produce photo I.D (either a passport or driving licence) at reception to comply with Data Protection requirements before we can activate your account.
Register here https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk/account/login?ReturnUrl=%2F
Please leave your request for a repeat prescription at reception or post it to the surgery. You can also request prescriptions using the website link above or also by fax. Please note we do not accept repeat prescription requests over the telephone.
Tick the items you need on the right-hand section of your previous prescription form.
Please allow two working days for prescriptions to be processed.
If you prefer, we can post it back to you (you will need to provide a stamped, addressed envelope).
Many of the local pharmacies collect presriptions on your behalf. If you would like to use this service please arrange it directly with the pharmacy.
We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
From 1 April 2019, the charges are:
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC. The charge for a single prescription item is £9.00, whereas a three month PPC will cost you £28.25 and a 12 month PPC £104.00.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery. WE DO NOT TAKE PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS OVER THE TELEPHONE.
